Cassie + Casey | Greenhouse Engagement

Engagements

May 1, 2019

Cassie and Casey grew up in the same town, went to the same high school, and attended the same college. BUT they never met until AFTER college when a mutual friend introduced them. All those years they were walking the same halls and attending the same events and had no idea their future spouse was also there! Fast forward five years. They’ve built a life together, have a home and two sweet goldendoodles that they are (self-proclaimed!) obsessed with. It was just a few days before Christmas when Casey made plans to propose on a carriage while looking at Christmas lights. His plans got thrown out though when Cassie’s sister’s flight got delayed and was no longer going to be able to be there. Casey and Cassie’s parents were scrambling to stall until she arrived and find a plan B. Through some creative storytelling, they got Cassie in front of her parents Christmas tree “just taking pictures” and then, in front of her closest family members, Casey asked her to be his wife! She said yes and they popped champagne and celebrated with her family!

During our session, they were so sweet, joyful, and kind. They are both University of Oklahoma alumni and huge OU fans, so of course that’s where we had to start! They brought their doodles along so we could get some proper family pictures, then we headed to a local greenhouse that had the most beautiful spring blooms. In Oklahoma you truly never know what you’re going to get with spring weather, but we couldn’t have had a more perfect evening.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a thousand more times. I work with the best couples, and I’m so excited for their wedding this summer!
